We believe in the importance of supporting our community.                      

2019 marked the tenth year that Drendel's Corner Mobil gas station and convenience store has been able to provide an education grant to the science and math programs at Legee Elementary.

In 2020 and in 2021,  we were able to continue to offer this grant to Leggee. We hope to be able to continue this tradition for many years to come.

During December, you will hear the sound of bells ringing outside the front door of our convenience store. Each year we invite the Rotary Club of Huntley to ring the bell on behalf of the Salvation Army's Red Kettle program. The Salvation Army's Red Kettle Program originally started to help feed the hungry. Now the program helps provide aide all year long for individuals who would otherwise be forgotten.

If you are not familiar with the Toys for Tot's program that the United States Marine Corps Reserve runs, it is a program that distributes toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas. We match our customer's donations dollar for dollar, and each year we have been amazed at the wonderful generosity of our customers. You are invited to drop toys off inside or the store as well. Thank you to everyone who helps put a smile on the children's faces.

In partnership with the Big Bikes Helping Little Tykes we raise awareness and funds to sponsor children and adolescents with cancer and leukemia, regardless of their medical status, so that they can attend Camp One Step. Camp One Step is a program of Children's Oncology Services, a not-for-profit charity.  Each year in July Big Bikes Helping Little Tykes holds a 140-mile Motorcycle Run to benefit the camp.  We match our customers donations and the motorcyclists stop by the store to pick up the donations.  It's truly a fun site to see and we are thrilled to be a part of the event.
